Cody walks!

JuJu went on a trip with her sisters and Nona a few weeks ago. Their first stop was in Atlanta where they attended a Braves game. Then they took Nona to Biloxi. When JuJu and her sisters were little, Nona and Pawpaw had to take them to Biloxi for a softball tournament. That was the last time Nona had been to the beach, so she requested they go there on their trip. While JuJu was on her trip, she kept Cody and me in mind! She got us both a Braves shirt in Atlanta and then found us these Biloxi Beach outfits! Thank you JuJu!Last Thursday was surgery day for Cody. He was having tubes put in his ears. Since he had to be there at 5:30, Daddy stayed home with me and Mama took Cody. Cody didn't even mind being woke up early to go. He was just happy when he got there because this very nice nurse gave him "Doctor Bear" and some stickers! He had Sesame Street stickers and Cars stickers
Cody didn't know what to do with the stickers at first....
Then he thought he'd see how they tasted...I am not sure if he liked them or not! Mama and Cody were home before I had to go to school. That's when Cody gave me the Cars stickers. Then he decided to start walking and walking and walking! I guess all the fluid in his ears was making him dizzy or off balanced. He went from crawling the night before to walking right after surgery! Cody went to work with Mama the rest of the day. He even took a good long nap while he was there!
Once he woke up from napping, he was ready to play!
His game of choice, of course, was peek a boo! Saturday was pretty exciting. Cody, Mama and I drove to Aberdeen to meet our newest friend, Avery! oh and of course see Mr. Jeremy and Mrs. Melissa. While we were there, we got to watch Avery take her 3 month pictures. She took some in front of this cool OLD tractor! Well you know Cody and me and tractors! You can't keep us off of them! Cody drove it first....
and he got super excited about driving it!
Then we all drove it
Then it was MY TURN to drive the tractor.

It really didn't move, but I waved bye just in case we took off
Finally we went back inside to cool off and eat! That's when Cody displayed his newest favorite thing to do....WALK
He also found a playmate! Yes that's Scout, the Baker's first daughter. Cody helped Scout chew on the bottle, which they both thought was super fun!
Avery finally woke up from her nap, so Cody went over to "talk" to her.
He thought she had some pretty eyes, which he decided to point out while I sat and read one of Hal's books!
He told her he had a new trick, so he showed her! (walking) She thought it was super cool!
Cody and Avery got to know each other pretty well Saturday. I think she's now his girlfriend!
I think he picked a cute one for a girlfriend don't ya think?
He even leaned in for a kiss!
which I really think she liked!
Cody and his new girlfriend took a group picture with their mamas!
They wanted me to take a picture too, but I was still interested in reading the book. But I was bribed by saying we'd get ICE CREAM! So yes, I joined them all for a group picture!
It was getting to be nap time for Cody and me (or well past nap time), so it was time to say goodbye to everyone. Mama made sure she gave her Goddaughter a hug and kiss before we left!
We had a great time visiting the Bakers, but wow were Cody and I super sleepy! Cody fell asleep right when we pulled off
then I wasn't too far behind him on nodding

Happy Father's Day!

Going to the pool is just great this year, especially since when I don't want to swim, I can go inside to watch "Batman" on Josh's tv. But when I am in the pool, the parents make sure it's super fun! Cody and I enjoy hanging onto daddy and splashing aroundand then getting in our "racecars" to race!
Cody tries to get out of his "racecar" most of the time. He thinks it's much more fun to be held. Tho, yesterday he held his breath and went under for the first time, which he loved!
I prefer to be out of the "racecar" too! Especially when I'm being thrown. I make sure to give all the grownups a workout each time we're at the pool.
Of course I skipped my nap at the pool that day, so when we got home, I crashed! I didn't even make it to my bed!! Sometimes Mama has to bribe me to take a nap. This time the bribe was a cup cake when I got up!Cody always takes a nap without being bribed, so his cupcake is for being a good boy!Now that Cody is walking a little more and climbing a little more, we are having so much fun together! We also have started fighting over toys, which I won't go into much detail, but I usually "had it first!" or "it's MY turn!" This one nite before bed, I did decide to share my bed with Cody as we drank our milk together.

It was actually a lot of fun having him lay beside me!
We also found out on the way to school one morning that we could reach each other's hand! So now we like to hold hands some.
It is so super funny too!!
Something else I've learned to do is sing...REALLY LOUD! and I can say the Pledge of Allegiance.

If you couldn't notice what I was singing, it was my favorite song, "Life is a Highway" off the movie "Cars"

This past weekend, Cody and I had to hang with a bunch of women at the pool since daddy had camp. We did not want to go all day on Father's day without seeing him! and we felt bad that he was working hard out in that HOT HOT sun, so we made sure to go help him coach some before heading to the pool again. I stood with him and blew the whistle
While Cody gathered all the equipment
He even caught a football
and threw it some
I came to blow my whistle at Cody so he would give me the ball back.
After working at camp for a little bit, we were getting ready to leave, but not before Cody tried daddy's hat on.
He did figure out that he liked his smaller one better. He told daddy happy father's day!
then it was my turn! I told daddy happy father's day and told him we were heading to get ice cream!!!
but not before I blew his whistle 1 more time!!
We went to Frostbite, where you fill your cup of whatever ice cream and whatever toppings you want. Cody and I wanted "birthday cake" flavor. For toppings, I got gummy worms for me!and Cody got chocolate sprinkles!
We made sure to think of daddy as we were eating our ice cream!

Cody's pool debut

After seeing me in the big pool at the Penny's Memorial Day weekend, all Cody says he wants to do is swim in the big pool like me. Last Saturday, we headed back to the Penny's to put Cody in the pool. He wasn't sure about the big bathtub at first. He didn't smile, but he didn't cry either. He just had this look on his face as he floated in the "fish boat"Maybe it was just too bright outside for him. He decided to put his hat on to help with the glare.
Once he had his hat on, he was set to go. He swamand splashed
and swam some more!I wasn't ready to get in the water when we got there, so I helped Mr. Josh cut his grass
After swimming in the floaty for a while, Cody opted to lay on the "nap mat" to relax
He still had his "not happy" face on, so mama tickled him to get a reaction. He then started laughing and laughing! We have some happy parents now since Cody and I both love the pool this summer
