Christmas time

With Christmas coming up, mama had an idea for Christmas cards. She thought it would be fun for Cody and me to look like Santa with the bubbles in the tub. I cooperated great for the picture!Cody wouldn't put on the hat but really liked the bubbles.
We never got a good picture for the cards, but Cody and I had a lot of fun playing in the bubbles!
Since daddy's season is over, he's home a little more. We like to spend some of our time learning how to play football. Here he is showing Cody and me a 3 point stance.
We also learned the 2 point stance.
My favorite was the 3 point stance tho. Don't I look good!
Another fun activity we've done with daddy is go see Santa! This is the first year I just hopped up in Santa's lap. As you can see here, Cody wasn't as enthused to see him.
Mama finally just sat Cody on Santa's lap, but he was not happy at all.
I was super excited because I got to tell Santa that I want a train! (yes another one)
Speaking of train, we found the train that I love after seeing Santa. This made Cody much happier.
We also found the ice cream truck to ride in together. I loved driving it!
Yesterday school was closed due to threat of icy weather. So mama stayed home with us and we played and played. Chance and I have really become buds lately. I think it's because I actually pet him now and don't hit him. See how much he likes me!

Cody and I made a train to play in. This kept us entertained for quite a while!
We also found that we love riding the John Deere.....together
Cody and I play extremely well together. We fight over some things, but over all he's grown up to become my buddy and tries doing everything just like me. We even stopped to see how tall he was and he is getting so tall!
Last night we were playing hide and seek with daddy. We were looking for daddy and I stopped to ask, "mama, where's daddy". That's when Cody stopped to ask, "mama, where's daddy". That was the first official whole sentence we have ever heard him say!

Lots of Traveling

Mama, Cody and I got to go to daddy's first playoff game in Valdosta, Georgia. That's an 8 hour ride, so getting to ride in Mr. Steve's RV made it super fun! Cody and I laid in the bed and watched Polar Express most of the trip there.Cody and I actually do a lot together these days. We dress the same for games. Here I gave him some big brother love at the hotel before we left for the game.
We even watched the band together at half time.
Mama wanted us to take a picture with this man watching the game, but that's something I refused to do with Cody. Cody didn't seem happy about it either, but didn't have much choice. Mama said we will be mad at ourselves in about 15 years when we realize we didn't want to take a picture with Bobby Bowden.
We also agreed that the game was boring so we turned around and played games together.
After the Lions beat Valdosta 43-20, we got back in the RV to head home. That's when we fell asleep together.
The Saturday after Thanksgiving, the Lions were scheduled to play Delta State in the 2nd round of playoffs. Mama, Cody & I went to Greenville on Thursday to have Thanksgiving with some family. Mama's family has a tradition of making homemade tortellini in a tomato soup to have with the rest of their Thanksgiving meal. This year I had my first tortellini and it was EXCELLENT!!
Cody also had his first tortellini and he LOVED it to!
This was our 3rd weekend of traveling in a row, so Cody and I were a little worn out. After filling our bellies, I sacked out on the couch.
and Cody on the floor.
After a good couple days rest, we loaded up with JuJu to go to Cleveland for daddy's game. Cody and I tailgated with some Wendy's chicken nuggets and fries before the game.
Well the Lions lost against Delta State, so that means we're done playing this season. But well done daddy and the Lions! Great season! So that means daddy got to spend Sunday with us. Welcome home daddy!!

Rock Star

November 6 daddy had a game against West Alabama. They were losing and it was FREEZING so mama, Cody and I went home to listen to the rest of it on the radio at home. Starting the 4th quarter, it was 23-3. The Lions came back to win 24-23! We were excited about that, but Cody decided he'd rather watch an indoor sport so it wasn't so cold. We all went to watch the volleyball game (which they won) and Cody was happy to have his very own seat! He DOES love football tho. See we even dress up and play at home!

We really love playing fumble, but have had to stop since Cody doesn't understand that he can't lay on top of other kids at school to tackle them. So we have put the helmet up and started playing soccer. He's really great at soccer!

Since we aren't playing fumble as much anymore, I've decided to practice my music skills a little more.

I grabbed my guitar and put on a concert. I started my concert with "Cars' Life is a Highway". Then I included my very own made up song "John Deere Tractor". After each song I said "thank you very much". The whole performance was to die for, but it was a bit lengthy to share, so here I am singing the UNA fight song.
We've been attending St. James a few weeks now and my favorite part is going to children's church with Mrs. Brandi. Last week, my friend Piper was there. We sat together in big church!
Last weekend daddy had an away game, so we headed to Jackson to spend time with some family. We stayed at cousin Bella's house. Cody and I immediately ran out to her swingset to slide.

Aunt Shelley helped Cody slide
and even tho I'm a big boy, I wanted her help to!
Then Cody and I sat in this double swing together while cousin Bella swung by herself like a big girl!

Saturday, we went to mama's cousin Steve's house to make tortellni for Christmas. There was a soccer goal in the backyard, so all of us great-grandkids played and played and played. It wore Cody out, so he took a nap on a pallet on the floor.

Did I tell you Nona was there to?It got dark outside and started raining a little, so Nathan and I moved to the living room and played cars! Nathan is my 2nd cousin.
Finally we got back to Bella's house and got ready for bed.

Before I went to sleep, I talked to daddy to find out that they lost to Harding 29-28. But that bad news wasn't so bad anymore once we found out the Lions got into the playoffs starting this Saturday against Valdosta!!

Trick or Treat!!

Last week at school we did some fun fall stuff. Wednesday, station 5's fire truck came to visit my friends and me at school. I got to "drive" the truck and hear the sirens! I also got to meet Sparky the fire dog! Then Friday, my friends and I went on a hayride around school and had a picnic. We even got to trick or treat at school! So all I talked about after I got home Friday was going trick or treating. I think I asked mama every hour if we could go! Thankfully Saturday FINALLY came! AND thankfully daddy had his game Thursday night against Delta State (which they won 31-7!) so he was able to join us for the festivities Saturday! So Cody and I got dressed and it was time to leave the house....
Cody and I were super excited so we wouldn't be still for a picture. That's when mama thought it would be a good time to take a picture while we were buckled in our seats and couldn't move
Our first stop Saturday was at St. James for the fall festival. We took our costumes off so we could jump in the big octopus!

After jumping for a while, we made our way around to the games. Cody really enjoyed fishing
and I liked bowling!
Then I found this wheel that went around and around
After playing all the games, Cody and I decided that fishing was our favorite, so we went back to fish again

After fishing, it was time to eat, so daddy grabbed Cody and we all headed in to eat!
Once we ate, it was time to go trick or treating. That's when we headed over to the Hannah's house. Their neighborhood had TONS of trick or treaters! I walked up to tell the Hannahs hello and I got my first candy in my pumpkin!
Cody got some candy and a hug from Miss Mollie
After talking to the Hannahs for a little bit, we loaded up in the wagon to go to other houses. Mrs. Jan came with us!
Cody and I walked up to the first house. This was his first time to walk to a house to say trick or treat! I went first to show him what to do.
We got our candy and turned around to go to the next house, but Cody had a problem leaving his candy in his pumpkin. He thought he was supposed to carry the candy in his hand.

Then the next house we walked up and got our candy. I turned around to leave, but Cody just stood there. He didn't understand that they only put candy in his pumpkin once.

Finally he turned to walk away, but the lady at that house made us stop to take a picture together. She thought we looked cute!
By the 3rd house, Cody was really into it! He was walking ahead of me to go up to the doors!
I caught up to him and again he just stood there after he got his candy
I did finally get him to walk away with me and by this time he was saying a really clear "thank you"! We had a lot of fun trick or treating in Oak Park Subdivision! After we made a huge block and got tons of candy, we stayed at the Hannah's house to help hand out candy. Then we provided entertainment for the crowd they had at the house!
Halloween was a huge success this year!! Cody and I had a super fun exciting time!
