We're all well!

So in my last post, I told you that Cody was in the hospital with jaundice. Well good news! He only had to stay there for 2 nights. He got to come home Friday the 15th. I made things a little rough on mommy and daddy tho. I came home Friday the 15th from daycare with hand, foot, mouth virus. I was very irritable and cranky and would not sleep much at night. Cody slept more at night than I did. I was home most of last week.

Things at home are good now. I'm well (for now) and Cody is finally being a little more active and waking up. He went to the doctor on the 21st for his 2 week check up and he weighed 6lbs 11oz and was 19inches long. He was in the 10th percentile for both height and weight. Doctor said since he was gaining weight to let him sleep through the night if he decides to. Well at 2 weeks old, Cody decided it was time to sleep all night...11:15pm to 7:00am. This happened just 2 nights and since then he is waking up once during the night to eat. I told mommy he is a growing boy and wants to eat! Here are some pictures of Cody...the one with his eyes open was a rarity until a couple days ago.Last Friday was Mommy and Daddy's 5 year anniversary. They decided to go to Ricatoni's for an anniversary lunch while I was at daycare. They took Cody with them, since they knew all he would do is sleep. Daddy got Mommy a ring that matches her wedding band that goes on the other side of her set. Mommy got Daddy a golf shirt and shorts. Here is Cody sitting on the bench outside of Ricatoni's.Saturday we all went as a family to Spring Park in Tuscumbia. My favorite part was swinging and watching the ducks and geese with Daddy. There was a train and carousel at the park that I thought I wanted to ride. The train conductor tooted the horn and it scared me, so I was fussy for the whole ride and then didn't want to ride the carousel.Sunday was race day so Daddy and I put our matching apparel on and he drug me around in the wagon before the cars went "vroom". Later that night I watched Cars in my Cars outfit.Monday, mommy took me to the park where I climbed on the playground and swung some. Then she brought me home and pulled me around the circle in my wagon. I was starting to get a little pink so she made me wear my hat. We've now lived in our house for a couple months and I wanted to show you mine and Cody's bedrooms. Mine is more like a playroom with a bed in it :-)
Cody went to have his newborn pictures done at when he was 10 days old (just like me). Here is the link if you want to see a preview...Cody newborn pictures Scroll down to "Baby Cody preview"

Cody is a cool dude!

Sunday, Mommy and Cody came home. But not before we both sent her a gift basket and balloon in the hospital for Mother's day. We have had fun around the house. JuJu went shopping for some clothes to fit Cody since he's smaller than all my hand me downs. She got him this premie outfit and it's still a bit big.

Of course she didn't forget me when she went shopping. She thought it was about time that Daddy get me outside hitting off the tee. I do ok, but would rather put the ball on the ground and hit it like a golf ball.

Monday night, we all helped give Cody his first bath. He didn't like it too much, so I gave him a kiss to comfort him.

Daddy was the photographer and he was making me laugh...check out all my teeth!

Tuesday before Mommy and JuJu picked me up from daycare, they took Cody to Target for his first big outing. He pretty much slept throught their boring shopping spree. And as you can see, it's pretty hard to make him look comfy in his car seat.

After we got home, JuJu got some unfortunate news that someone broke into their home, so Wednesday she had to leave us and go home. She did get to drop me off at daycare first and I finally said "Bye JuJu" when she was leaving. While she was telling Cody bye, Chance decided it was time to meet the new addition to the family.

Before JuJu took off, her and mommy took mine and Cody's picture together...well it was me at 10 days old...I think he's as cute as me (of course).
Later that day, Mommy called to set Cody an appointment for his 1st week weigh in. She also asked to speak to the doctor because she was concerned with how much Cody was sleeping and not waking up to eat. Wednesday morning he ate at 1:15 then would not wake up to eat again till 7:15. Doctor Moore asked mommy to bring Cody in the get checked. He was sent to the hospital for lab work to check his jaundice level. The level was high, so Cody was admitted into the hospital Wednesday night. There, he got to wear some cool shades and lay in the "tanning bed". Mommy spent the night there with him and daddy is visiting them both all day. The doctor came in Thursday morning and said he is doing much better and should get to go home Friday or early Saturday. Daddy thought it was cool that Cody got the "pit stop" Nascar room. I'm going to see him and mommy after school today. Here is Cody at the doctor's office and then in his "tanning bed" in the hospital.

Cody Christopher Willis

I had a VERY exciting weekend and could not wait to get to school to let all my friends know that I am now a BIG BROTHER! Cody was born Friday, May 8 at 5:31pm. He was 6lbs 7oz and 20inches long. I already love him so much...I've given him tons of kisses and as you can see above in the main picture, I've even held him. Here are a few of my favorite pictures including our first family picture.

I've been having some fun this week! JuJu came to visit on Monday so I took her outside to show her how much fun I have in my big backyard. While I was out there, daddy and I played golf and threw baseball.

After playing, we all went in for supper. I ate my first corn on the cob and I must say it was quite yummy!

I also got to show JuJu how much I love riding all my toys and pushing them around the house...here I am with Clifford

JuJu even got in the floor and played some...we were scooting across the floor and I thought it was so funny!

After all the playing, I loved on Cody before I went to bed. Can't wait to meet little brother on Friday!

Tractor tippin!

I am now becoming hollywood. One of my teachers had their last day at daycare last week and she gave me a going away present. Check out how cool I am now...

Last time I posted, I told you how much I'm loving "Cars" the movie. Well after watching it about 100 times since then, I've decided that my favorite part is when Mater and McQueen go tractor tippin. It's now one of my favorite things to do around the house! I even "moooo" when I do it!

Cody update...Doc says he should be here sometime this week!!

Cars!!!

Saturday, the parents and I took a trip to Huntsville. I was such a good boy all day while they shopped so they decided to reward me with me with my new FAVORITE movie. You guessed it...CARS! I got to watch it all the way home and now I constantly want it playing in my room. Daddy went to the store last nite and he had a toy aisle weakness...he bought me "Mack". He didn't realize Lightning McQueen wasn't in the back of the truck, so he said if I was a really good boy he would go back and get me the car. Daddy! I'm ALWAYS good! Here I am playing with "Mack"

Easter Fun!

Last week before school mommy was in the picture taking mood, so I was the model. Here I am sittin at our front door.

This past weekend was pretty fun. I spent a lot of time with the parents. Sunday was extra special! I woke up and found some goodies waiting on me from the Easter Bunny! Here I am saying "Yay" and clapping my hands to all the fun stuff I got!

Easter Bunny brought me a new hat. Here I am chillin with Melmo (Elmo) on the couch with my new hat on.

Later Sunday afternoon when I woke up from my nap, I got to go on an Easter Egg hunt! Guess who won!?!? Well duh, me of course! I found all 12 eggs. Chance helped and Daddy carried my basket while mommy was photographer.

After I found all the eggs, I went to the concrete to draw with my new chalk that the Easter Bunny brought.

Then I decided I would try to show all those golfers playin in the Masters what to look out for in the future. Check out my form:

I'm really enjoying all this warmer weather so I can wear my shorts and get outside and play, but wow it's hard on my knees. Look at them after just 2 days of shorts...

Oh well...I had fun and the knees will heal, so I'm not worried :-)
